**Breaking Through**
I wanted to capture the excitement and power of Saskatchewan Roughriders football by creating the illusion of a player exploding through a torn steel wall. The artwork was printed on brushed aluminum supplied by Metals R Us, which I hand-brushed to achieve the finish I envisioned before applying an adhesion promoter.
The piece was produced on my EufyMake E1 UV printer using relief printing, allowing multiple layers of ink to build real texture and depth. The raised relief gives the torn metal edges, flying debris, football, and player a striking three-dimensional appearance.
The contrast between rugged industrial steel and the energy of the player creates the feeling that nothing can stand in the way of determination and team spirit. It was designed to celebrate the passion of Rider Nation while showcasing what's possible with UV relief printing on brushed aluminum.
