About A36 steel
A36 is the US name for everyday structural steel. In Canada the bar that does that job is 44W, the CSA grade, which is what fills our carbon rack: a near-equivalent specced a touch stronger. We carry barely any actual A36, so if your drawing says A36, you're almost certainly buying 44W, and it substitutes honestly.
