We find the metal you can't
Need a grade, alloy, or size that isn't on our racks? Tell us what the job calls for and we'll shop it through our supplier network, quote you the best option, and have it cut and ready in days. You see the price before anything gets ordered.
Sourcing, start to finish
Material, grade, shape, and dimensions. A spec sheet or a drawing helps; so does a photo of the worn-out part you're replacing. Send it through the quote form, call 902-468-1112, or email sales@metalsrus.ca.
We take your spec to our suppliers, gather quotes, and price the best option, including freight to your door or to our shop first. Want it cut before it ships? The saws are right here: sourced stock can leave our dock already cut to your lengths.
You get one number with the lead time attached, and nothing is ordered until you say go. Local material can land in a few days; specialty mill items can run up to three weeks. Most sourced orders are ready to ship or pick up in 7-10 days.
What we source
If it's metal, we'll chase it. Titanium, Galvalume sheet, zinc, niobium, tool steels beyond the O1 we shelve, marine grades, oversize plate, specific tempers, obsolete sizes for repair work. The wall below is real requests: if your spec is stranger than niobium, we still want to see it.
Some metals only come in random lengths (R/L), so the piece that arrives may run longer than the spec. When that applies we quote on the longest possible length and tell you before you commit. No surprises on the invoice.
You name it. We source it.
Sourcing FAQs
How is the price decided?
We gather quotes from multiple suppliers whenever we can and pass along the best option. You see the price before anything is ordered.
How long does sourcing take?
Local material can land in a few days; specialty mill items can take up to three weeks. Most sourced orders are ready to ship or pick up in 7-10 days, and your quote includes the lead time for your specific material.
How do I submit a request?
Request a quote online, call 902-468-1112, or email sales@metalsrus.ca. Include the material, grade, shape, and dimensions and we'll do the rest.
Any fees I should know about?
No sourcing fee. The one thing to know: some metals only come in random lengths (R/L), so we quote on the longest possible length. We flag it upfront whenever it applies.
Can you cut sourced material before it ships?
Yes. Sourced stock can run across our saws first, so it arrives cut to your lengths and ready to use. Just say so in the request.
