The questions we get every week
Is there a charge for cut-to-size orders?
No. Custom cuts are free: you pay the per-inch price for the length you order and nothing else.
What tolerance do you cut to?
±1/8″ on every cut. Need tighter for a specific part? Ask in a quote request and we'll tell you straight whether the saws can hold it.
How often do prices change?
Prices and inventory update daily. If one of our costs changes, you'll see it online the following day.
How does sheet ordering work?
Sheet is sold as a custom grid: pick your material and thickness, then enter the width and length you need. Our shears handle mild steel up to 10 feet wide and 1/2″ thick.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes, $40 before shipping. There's no minimum quantity beyond that: one short bar is a fine order.
Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes, automatically. Bigger quantities trigger tiered discounts of 5-15% on most products. The discount applies on its own as your quantity goes up, no code needed.
Can I get a mill test report (MTR)?
On marked products, yes. Check MTR availability on the product page, or ask when you order and we'll include it with your paperwork.
Do you handle business and wholesale accounts?
Every day; it's most of what we do. For volume pricing or recurring orders, request a quote and the sales team will set you up.
Can I cancel my order?
Once an order is prepped and cut by our team it can't be cancelled. If there's an issue with your order, contact us right away with your order number handy.

Where do you ship?
Anywhere in Canada. Order lengths up to 96″ online with live carrier rates at checkout; under 48″ gets the best parcel rates, and longer pieces still ship at honest prices. Need up to 21 feet? Request a quote and we'll arrange it.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Orders placed by 1pm Atlantic on a business day ship the next business day in most cases. If your order needs more time we'll reach out by phone or email.
Next-business-day dispatch is our goal, not a guarantee; we don't discount orders when we miss it, but we'll always keep you posted.
Can I pick up my order?
Yes, pickup at the Dartmouth shop is free. Order by 1pm Atlantic on a business day and it's usually ready the next business day. We're at 85 Gloria McCluskey Ave, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm.
How do I return a product?
Custom-cut metal is final sale, but if something arrives defective or we cut it wrong, contact the sales team and we'll make it right.

Refunds are processed within 7 days of us receiving the item back.
