About 1026 steel
1026 is a low-to-medium carbon steel you'll mostly meet as DOM mechanical tube on our rack, drawn over a mandrel for a clean, uniform wall and good concentricity. It's the tube for rollers, spacers, cylinders, and weldments that need a true, machinable wall. It welds well and machines better than hot-rolled tube.
