About A36 steel

A36 is the US name for everyday structural steel. In Canada the bar that does that job is 44W, the CSA grade, which is what fills our carbon rack: a near-equivalent specced a touch stronger. We carry barely any actual A36, so if your drawing says A36, you're almost certainly buying 44W, and it substitutes honestly.

Can I buy A36 from you?
What you'll get is 44W, the Canadian structural grade that does the A36 job and meets or beats it on strength. It's the deepest pile on the carbon rack. If a job legally needs certified A36 specifically, send a quote request and we'll source it.
