About C260 brass
C260 is cartridge brass, roughly 70% copper and 30% zinc with no lead, the alloy ammunition cases are deep-drawn from. With nothing to interrupt the grain, it flows instead of cracking, so it's the brass for deep draws, spun shapes, and tight bends in thin sheet. On a lathe it's gummy, the opposite of C360. We carry only a couple of C260 items, since real forming work wants sheet and strip, which is a sourcing conversation.
