About 3003 aluminum

3003 is the budget sheet aluminum, soft and easy to work for jobs that don't need strength. It's good for flashing, patches, trays, and general sheet metal where you just want aluminum that bends and won't rust. When the sheet has to take a hard bend or live in salt, step up to 5052.

Should I use 3003 or 5052 for sheet?
3003 for cheap, low-stress sheet like covers and patches. 5052 when the part gets bent hard or lives outdoors near salt. They look the same on the shelf, but 5052 is the tougher, more weather-resistant one.
