I've been engaged to my fiancée for three years. During our second year of being engaged, I took a humble blacksmithing course. From the very beginning, my partner has supported me wholeheartedly on this journey. She has been there every step of the way from helping me load heavy anvils into the back of vehicles, to encouraging us to buy a home with space for a forge, to never complaining when I'm outside late into the night shaping hot steel with the sound of hammer on anvil. Not knowing much about wedding planning, I wanted to contribute in a way that felt true to who I am. Instead of focusing on decorations alone, I decided to create something meaningful: hand-forged keepsakes that our family and friends could take home and remember our special day. Using fire, hammer, and anvil, I forged 20 candle holders, with three early prototypes helping refine the final design. Each piece was shaped from mild steel by hand, carrying with it not only hours of work, but also the love, dedication, and support that made this journey possible. They may not be pretty or perfect but each one is truly unique.
