Got a job with ten sizes on it? Paste the list, we price it at your trade rate and cut it to +/- 1/8 in. Anything past 96 in online, or an odd job that needs a custom price, comes back as a quote.

How trade accounts pay, plainly
To start, trade accounts pay by card at checkout, due on receipt, with your PO number on the order. Net terms come in a later wave for established accounts, once we've done a few orders together. The $40 order minimum applies to trade accounts too, which almost any shop order clears. Tax exemption is handled by request, not online yet: send us your certificate and we set it up on your account.

What do I actually get with a trade account?
Your trade price on the whole catalogue, stock and custom cut, showing right on every product when you sign in. You put your PO number on the order and pay by card. Your account keeps your order history so reorders take a minute. Same metal, same shop, since 1997, just your price on the tag.
Who qualifies?
Shops and businesses that buy metal to build or resell: fabricators, welders, machinists, contractors, manufacturers, repair shops. You do not need a storefront or a big monthly spend to start. Tell us your business and what you buy, and we'll set you up.
Do custom cuts get trade pricing too?
Yes. Every length reads your trade price in the cut-to-length configurator, so when you set the size, the number you see is already your rate. Cuts stay free and we hold +/- 1/8 in. Oversize or bespoke work past what the site prices comes back as a soumission at your rate.
Do I get a dedicated contact?
Yes. Every approved trade account gets a named rep on our side. They handle your odd requests, quote your freight, and know your account when you call. You reach them at sales@metalsrus.ca or by calling the shop at 902-468-1112.
How does trade shipping work?
Three ways, whatever suits your shop. Ship on your own courier account and we send it collect, pay the driver on delivery, or your rep sets you up with pallet rates through our network. Order online and we ship at live courier rates, or you pick up free in Dartmouth. Shipping is never free, it is the real rate or your own account.
How do I keep my trade pricing?
Spend a qualifying amount over each six-month window and your pricing stays on. It is set so almost any working shop clears it, and we give you a heads-up well before the window closes if you are running behind. Your rep can walk you through where you stand any time.
Do you take POs?
Yes. There's a PO-number field at checkout, so it lands on the order and in your paperwork. To start, trade accounts pay by card, due on receipt. Net terms open up in a later wave for established accounts.
Can I still get a soumission for an odd job?
Always. Online orders run to 96 in, and we cut up to 21 ft by quote. Anything longer, thicker, or off-menu, send it through the quote form or call the shop. Your trade rate carries into the quote, and firm quotes hold 14 days.
