About our copper

Our copper is C110: 99.9% pure electrolytic copper, the grade you want for electrical work. Flat bar leads the section because it's bus bar stock: battery banks, grounding, panel work, solar and EV projects. Round bar covers electrodes and machined contacts; sheet handles flashing, lining, and art.

Flat bar, round bar, square bar, hex bar, and sheet, all cut to the inch. Copper moves with the market, so the price you see is today's price; it updates daily with our costs.

What is C110 copper used for?

Anywhere electricity, heat, or looks lead the spec. C110 is 99.9% pure electrolytic copper, the standard electrical grade. Bus bars and grounding straps come from flat bar, heat spreaders from sheet, and art, trim, and counter work follow the warm finish. It's also the traditional metal for stills and brew gear.

What shapes can you get cut?

Flat bar, round bar, sheet, square bar, and hex bar, all C110. As of June 2026, a 12″ piece of 1/8″ x 1″ flat bar runs $16.43 CAD, cut to ±1/8″ with no cutting fee. Copper tracks the metal market closely, so check the live page for today's price.

How does copper age?

Bright, then brown, then, after years outside, that green patina. Indoors it mostly settles at a warm brown. Want the shine to stay? Polish and lacquer. Want the aged look? Just wait, or look up patina solutions to hurry it along. Either way it never red-rusts, which is why roofers and artists keep choosing it.

Is copper hard to work with?

It's soft but gummy. It bends and forms beautifully, and it work-hardens as you go, so anneal it if a piece starts fighting back. On the lathe, use sharp tools and slow down; if the part is mostly machining, C360 brass will treat you better. Cutting, drilling, and soldering are all easy days.

Common questions

Is C110 pure enough for electrical work?
Yes. C110 is 99.9% pure electrolytic copper, the standard grade for bus bars, grounding, and conductors. If a spec sheet says electrolytic tough pitch or ETP, this is it.
How do I keep copper shiny?
Polish it, then lacquer it. Unsealed copper starts browning within weeks of handling. No lacquer means a warm brown patina indoors, and eventually green outdoors.
Is copper hard to machine?
It's gummy rather than hard: sharp tools, slow speeds, and patience. If the part is mostly machining and conductivity isn't critical, C360 brass cuts far cleaner.
Can I bend copper bar cold?
Yes, it forms easily and work-hardens as you go. If a piece stiffens up mid-job, anneal it (heat and quench) and it goes soft again.
